J ‘Ophélia Gagé was born in Paris 1965. She grew up in the 14th district in front of the Parc Montsouris.
In her mother’s studio she began to draw and paint from an early age and soon discovered the wonderful feeling of creativity.

She experimented deeply in all the diverse painting techniques and later graduated with main subjects  Art, Philosophy and languages. Her first job was as a translator and then she became a technical interpreter.

After moving into her first studio in Paris in an artist’s colony she began to paint professionally. Her first successes were in painting the Parisian landscapes.

In 1996, she decided to leave Paris and open a gallery in the painter’s village of Barbizon , south of Paris : This village is renowned for the Pre-impressionist painters Millet and Rousseau. Her work was sold internationally from this permanent gallery.

Since 2004 she has been living in Germany with her husband and continues to paint and sells her work from her studio in Düsseldorf.
